About Stuart Disney.

CAREER

After qualifying at the PGA Training Academy, Bisham Abbey in 1993, Stuart pursued his boyhood dreams of golfing superstardom.

Buoyed by the generosity of his then club, Teignmouth, Stuart managed to secure some starts on the PGA European Challenge Tour. Along with a season of events on the West Region PGA Tour, Stuart focused his attention on competing.

With this followed numerous pro-am victories and experience of competing all over the world. After a year of traveling, disaster struck in the form of a horrendous back injury. Not put of by this setback, Stuart focused his attention on establishing his own golfing academy.

Various coaching positions followed at differing clubs, but Stuart's desire always lay in creating his own place in the market. The Golf Academy was founded to do just that. To offer the aspiring golfer the chance to improve in the comfort of their own surroundings and to reach as many people as possible in the hope that they may give golf a go and experience for themselves the wonders of the game that have provided many happy years of pleasure to Stuart.

Having worked with many clients over the years, Stuart has shown that he can help to improve golfers of all abilities. From the newcomer through to the professional player, the list of clients keeps growing. His passion for helping out the younger generation is well documented with appearances on ITV's Westcountry Programme and with his appointment as Devon County Girls Coach, as position he has held since 2003. Since holding this position, The girls have managed to win the South West Jamboree three times in succession and he has also helped to design a programme that reaches all registered girls golfers in Devon. This has been recognized as
one of the best coaching programmes in England.

Perhaps Stuart's finest achievement came outside of the coaching environment when he decided to pursue his education in the game. Signing up for the PGA's Advanced Diploma in Golf Studies, Stuart spent five years updating and improving his knowledge of the game and was duly granted Advanced Professional Status with the Advanced Diploma.

He was the first British based professional to achieve this.
Stuart continues to work hard to create links to schools; clients from all walks of life; businesses and clubs to get people playing golf. His desire to help you improve your golf is something to be experienced.
