Mental Skills for

Improved Performance

By: STUART DISNEY

PGA Qualified Golf Coach and Psychologist

Let us start at the beginning. Having the perfect swing technique, the best equipment, being physically fit will not make you the best golfer you can be on their own.

Imagine making a picture-perfect swing with the best equipment available, then feeling strong and fit as you walk the 36 holes of the final of the club championship.

Standing on the 15th tee, you suddenly forget what you are doing. You start thinking negative thoughts, you struggle to focus your mind and you start to panic. It all feels so strange.

These are signs of poor mental skills. If you want to perform at your highest level for the full duration of the event, you must add the fourth element to your skills: Mental Skills.

  • Joining the Stuart Disney Golf Academy will help you with 'the fourth dimension'.

  • Stuart will explain how you should, and will, improve your mental skills.

  • By charting your game, improvements can be analysed to reach your ultimate goal.

  • A complete booklet is available, which includes a Performance Profile for you to complete. Knowing what you are good at and knowing what areas require attention are key elements in knowing how to practise.

  • Contact The Stuart Disney Golf Academy and improve your mental skills and your golf game.
