  Developing the Game

WHAT IS THE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME?

The Stuart Disney Golf Academy Golf Development Programme represents an objective review towards performance in practice and play. It is designed with an objective measurement of your practise skills through your coaching with Stuart Disney, together with a measurement of your ‘on course’ golf using the Stuart Disney Golf Academy Round Analyser.

THE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The programme consists of four components:

  • The Short Game

  • The Long Game

  • Playing

  • Mental and Physical Conditioning.

Each area is broken down into categories.

The Short Game is broken down to consist of Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Bunker Play.

The Long Game into Driving, Long Irons, Mid Irons and Short Irons.

The Playing Category consists of Shot Making Skills, Fairways Hit, Greens Hit, Number of Putts taken and whether an up-and-down was achieved.

Mental and Physical Conditioning consist of an overview of your thinking process and general fitness level. Without physical conditioning it is difficult to maintain concentration levels and performance levels. Being able to control your golf shots out of those difficult lies is a lot easier when you are strong. This also equates to a few extra yards on those tee shots.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAMME WORK?

Each category will require hitting ten golf balls. You should work with one area at a time before progressing to another. I recommend you start with the Putting Category first. Work through each category in sequence and remember to record your score on the work sheet so we can meet up and discuss areas to improve.

Start with a personal consultation with Stuart Disney

Advice, literature, analysis will follow...and so will your game improvement!
